Activating a temporary dining room in Riverhorse on Main.
Riverhorse on Main Pines Mural
Over three days before Thanksgiving 2016, I painted this graphic black and white mural of pine trees heavy laden with snow in a room at Riverhorse on Main in Park City, UT. The mural is located inside the restaurant's lounge space as soon as you enter the upper dining area. This 20 foot long mural was painted just with black paint and the white patches were left empty to act as tree branches laden with snow. The idea for the mural originated with a small pen and ink sketch in my sketchbook.
The mural was created as a way to activate a room in the restaurant that was slated to be remodeled the next year. The temporary mural gave the room energy and life for a short time before the whole space was overhauled. The mural is no longer viewable.
