Virtual Art Practice.
Series 2
How do you get better at anything?
You practice. Even More.
This is Series 2 of my Virtual Art Practice with 6 new classes to help you level up your skills and push your art even further.
Check out Series 1 for the basics of watercolor painting to get the most out of Series 2.
Just like in Series 1, this class series is not about finishing paintings, but about developing skills - much like practicing scales on a piano, strumming on a guitar, or even doing yoga poses. In fact, this whole idea was inspired by the many delightful yoga classes I've been to where we spend a whole hour together stretching our bodies, expanding our minds and "practicing" poses.
As the saying goes "Practice Makes Practice," and in order to create the kind of art we want, to translate the visions we have in our heads onto paper or canvas, we need the tools, the skills and the know-how to get there.
Series 2 dives into some more advanced techniques to help you further your artistic practice with watercolor and water media. Read on below to see the topics and to sign up for all or individual classes.
What happens in each class.
These virtual art classes are taught live via Zoom and recorded to watch again later or if you were unable to attend the live class. Each class will be available on demand to watch at your leisure afterwards. During the virtual class hour, I will give you examples of the skill used in works by master watercolor artists and then walk you through the lesson giving you time to practice along with me as you watch remotely from your own home. We will focus on a basic skill and then apply that to something you can use in your own work. No need to go anywhere, just login to our private online classroom. Each class is filmed with live attendees who will able to ask questions via chat as I paint. At the end, there will be time for Q&A to assist with any questions or problems students have along the way. If you can’t make the scheduled time, no worries - just watch the class on your schedule after it is posted.
