Make The Salt Lake Great Again Organic Hat - 3 Color Options

$37.00

Help raise the water levels of the Great Salt Lake by wearing this hat and raising awareness about how badly it's been neglected. This summer the GSL has hit a new low and it's entire ecosystem is in danger of collapsing, which will have major repercussions not only for the birds and brine shrimp, but also for us humans! Less water in the lake means less snow in the winter and also more toxic dust storms across the entire region. We can't let this continue. Let's Make The Salt Lake Great Again!

Proceeds from this hat will be donated to the Friends of Great Salt Lake who advocate for the lake. You can also learn more about the lake and it's issues at Save Our Great Salt Lake. Be sure to sign their petition!

The adorable bird on the left hand side is Gilbert the Gull. Gilbert is a California Gull, which is a common species seen on the GSL. He is named after Gilbert Bay, which is the main bay of the GSL, which was named after Grove Karl Gilbert, an American geologist, who in the 1880s predicted that the lake would virtually disappear except for a small remnant between the islands. Gilbert was designed by Bridgette Meinhold and named by Matt Meinhold.
